Petronas Gas Bhd (PGB) has signed five Heads of Agreement to pursue the expansion of an industrial gas facility and supply of nitrogen with several Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd subsidiaries.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, PGB said the subsidiaries were Petronas Chemicals Ethylene Sdn Bhd, Petronas Chemicals Ammonia Sdn Bhd, Petronas Chemicals Aromatics Sdn Bhd, Petronas Chemicals LDPE Sdn Bhd, Petronas Chemicals Olefins Sdn Bhd, Petronas Chemicals Glycols Sdn Bhd as well as Petronas Chemicals Derivatives Sdn Bhd.
It said the expansion of the facility would provide additional nitrogen to serve new demand in Kerteh, Terengganu and its commercial operation is expected to commence February 2021.
